Internal Committee

The Internal Relations Committee aims to bring different BHP classes together by pairing together bigs and littles to help ease the transition for freshmen into college. The committee also hosts events to balance the stress and rigor of coursework throughout the year.

Academics Committee

The Academics Committee aims to foster a strong sense of community between the students, staff and professors who are a part of the Business Honors Program. The committee hosts events such as Dinner with a Professor, Volunteering with a Professor, and Activities with a Staff Member, all throughout the year.

Social Committee

The Social Committee seeks to cultivate a strong bond between members of the BHP community across different classes. The committee hosts events that allow students to experience Austin and try out new activities with their peers in addition to planning the All-Honors Formal and organizing Intramural Sports each semester.

External Committee

The External Affairs Committee organizes opportunities for students to engage in community service and partners with a different philanthropy every year. The committee also coordinates activities with other organizations across McCombs and UT.

Alumni Committee

The Alumni Relations aims to host events that facilitate interaction between current Canfield Business Honors Program (CBHP) students and our amazing alumni. Events include the Alumni Panel and various other dinners and activities throughout the school year all with the goal of strengthening and creating current and potential Canfield Business Honors alumni relationships.

Corporate Committee

The Corporate Relations Committee seeks to expose students to different career paths and industries. The committee coordinates with the corporate sponsors and plans events such as the Company Dinner, company visits, and other corporate events.

Financial Committee

The Financial Committee manages funding for meetings, socials, and the annual Company Field Trip (CFT). Through the CFT, the committee aims to expose students to companies, alumni, and career opportunities in a major city. The Financial Committee coordinates with each HBA committee to budget and plan events.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee cohesively compiles and publicizes events from other committees in a weekly newsletter. The committee creates graphics, blog posts, and runs social media to build a public image for HBA. The Communications Committee also stresses on making memories throughout the year by providing event photos and recap videos.
