HBA Company Dinner
On Wednesday evening, BHP students filled the tables at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center, eager to converse with recruiters from companies such as PwC, Accenture, H-E-B and Dell. Throughout the night, students had the opportunity to ask questions and get to know recruiters over a delicious three-course meal.
The night began with a light round of mingling before dinner, during which time students were free to talk to recruiters from any company they wished. Then the students divided up to sit with their assigned companies and learn more about the company's culture, job opportunities, and, of course, to get to know recruiters on a more personal level. Many of the recruiters were also UT alums, and were eager to hear about what had changed since their time on the Forty Acres. Conversation topics ranged from Campus Carry to life in West Campus, and students often joked with recruiters as they found common ground.
Another round of mingling capped off the night, and students were once again free to talk to any recruiter of their choosing. For many, the time spent at the Company Dinner was a welcome break from looming homework assignments and tests, and students relaxed with coffee and dessert before heading out.
